SCHEDULE AND INFORMATION

Welcome to the 2008 ROCKY MOUNTAIN ATV JAMBOREE ! The following is general information regarding the event that will help you better understand the registration process and the activities that are held in conjunction with the Jamboree.

Block out September 15 - 20, 2008 on your calendar.

Please note that again this year, the 2008 Rocky Mountain ATV Jamboree festivities will be held indoors at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield.

The registration fee for the 2008 Jamboree is $140 per rider. This fee includes guided rides Monday through Friday during the Jamboree, dinners on Monday and Friday, continental breakfast Tuesday through Friday morning at the Sevier Valley Center, a T-shirt, a 2008 Paiute ATV Trail sticker, a Coca-Cola mug, entry into the prize drawings and a photo CD of the 2008 event.

Registration is required by no later than September 1, 2008 so as to allow adequate time for planning activities, meals, T-shirts, etc. The Jamboree has a limit of 650 registered riders, so early registration may be critical.

Additional Meal Tickets will be pre-sold for $40.00 for the 2008 Jamboree. Meal Tickets are designated specifically for individuals who will be legally riding double with a registered rider or will not be taking part in daily rides. Each Meal Ticket holder must be accompanied by a registered rider.  Meal tickets will include access to the dinners on Monday and Friday as well as each morning’s continental breakfast.  Meal ticket holders will have a name tag and will receive an official Jamboree shirt and mug.

Include name, address & payment for each rider on a separate sign-up sheet. The sheet indicating your ride choices must be submitted with the appropriate registration fee.

Make checks payable to:

SEVIER COUNTY
250 North Main
Richfield, Utah 84701

The Jamboree’s policy is that our list of registered rider names, mailing addresses and other information is for our use only, and will not be distributed to any other organization for use.

Make your lodging reservations early. Please refer to the enclosed Sevier County Visitor’s Guide for a list of local hotels, motels and trailer facilities or visit www.atvjam.com.

We will be riding at altitudes from 5,300 feet to nearly 12,000 feet above sea level so please tune up your wheeler for those conditions before your arrival. You may want to call your local dealer to find out if any rejetting or other modifications need to be made to your machine before your visit.

Each registered rider assumes the responsibility for being properly trained and outfitted as well as taking responsibility for his or her own safety and well being. Registered riders also have the responsibility for being properly insured. Registration for the Jamboree is an indication of such willingness on the part of each rider. Refer to the Questions / Safety section herein for more information.

Choose your rides carefully, according to your abilities and the rating given with each ride description. Many Jamboree rides require that you be willing and able to transport your own ATV to remote locations with the group. This allows you to see more of Utah’s ATV trails and keeps our ride groups at a manageable size. This also spreads the whole group over a larger area, providing for less intense use of local trails. If you prefer, there are plenty of rides originating out of Richfield that do not require transporting your ATV.

We will have individual credentials for each rider during check-in at the Sevier Valley Center on Monday morning.  Credentials will also be used for all Jamboree sponsored meals. Keep your credentials with you at all times - they will identify you as a registered rider and will allow admission to all Jamboree events, prize drawings, meals, etc.

Bring warm clothing and rain gear in case of unexpected cooler or wet weather. September is an ideal time to ride the trail but nights on the mountain can be somewhat cold, and weather can change without warning. Normally we will not encounter snow at that time of year. Those participating in the Mountain Man Marathon will need special equipment. For a list of suggested gear, refer to the back page of the Ride Description section.

REFUND POLICY

It is understood that after the September 1, 2007 registration deadline, the advertising bills have been paid, Jamboree T-shirts have been ordered, delivered and paid for, arrangements have been made for breakfasts and dinners for the pre-determined number of riders. Therefore, it is the policy of Rocky Mountain ATV Jamboree to issue refunds according to the following conditions:

A refund request must be made in writing and forwarded to 250 North Main, Richfield, Utah, 84701. Refund requests may also be faxed to (435) 896-8888 or e-mailed to sevierevents@juno.com.

Registration refunds will be based on the following:

$120 - requests postmarked prior to September 1, 2007.

Please allow adequate time for processing of refunds.
