Thinking of switching to this on Friday if we have energy left for a final "hurrah" so to speak, is this a good choice, rate the level of difficulty on 1-10 and scenery from 1-10, just curious  Roll Eyes

I rode this at the 2005 Jamboree. Excellent extreme trail for 4WD.  Most of the trail to be moderate, but the actual rock canyon section was great. You'll need energy for this one, but its worth it. For me it rated a 7.  Others may think different.  Hope this helps.

Rode this ride last year.  Had been told how bad it was.  I expected it to be much worse than it was.  In fact, after all the years of hearing the scare stories, I was disappointed.  Heard that it was made easier a number of years ago.

There are about 1/2 mile of rocks that are challenging.  The rest of the ride is very enjoyable.  A lot of very pretty two track that winds through the trees.  I would of liked to turn around where we stopped at the top and come back down through the rocks and trees.  My wife went with me last year and did fine.  We are doing this ride on Monday and will be taking two more ladies of our regular group with us.

If you like some challenges and UT rock hopping, you will be fine.  There are a couple of spots that you will be on three wheels, but only for a couple of feet.

Enjoy....

been up it 6 times..i think it was in 2002 they went in and redid the last portion of the trail at the top..used to be you had a smallrock wall to climb at the end look at the top when you go thru the gate to the right side..use to go up that rock wall..,also they removed a whole lot of rocks..been 3 trys since i was up it ,and then it was easy..

I think the challenge is the better ride.  I live here and don't really care for rock canyon.

my late wife & I rode this in 99, our first jamboree. We both had Polaris 400 Explorers and did fine till about 700 ft from the top when a first timer from NY thought the recommendation for experienced riders didn't apply to him and his 500 Sportsman with 100lb of can goods ( no exaduration ) on the back kicked up on the little rock ledge and he went over backwards severly injuring his back and requiring his being brought out on a strecher down through the rocks. we had to turn around which was a shame. I'd say if you have good riding skills and have a 4x4 with low range you'll do fine.
